In conflict of interest cases, the faculty ombuds officer will work with graduate students and the graduate student ombuds officer will work with faculty.
Throughout the calendar year, you can meet or talk to an Ombuds Officer by appointment at any mutually agreeable time. In addition, during the Fall and Spring semesters, the Faculty Ombuds Officer holds walk-in hours at the ombuds office (1300 35th street NW Washington DC 20057) from 12 noon to 2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Graduate Student Ombuds Officer holds walk in hours at the same location on Fridays from 12 noon to 2pm. The Ombuds Officers will occasionally need to leave town to attend conferences. It is therefore recommended that you call 202-784-1791 before walking down to the office during these hours..
