While Jesus occupies an important place in the Islamic and Christian traditions, each religion also differs significantly in their beliefs on who Jesus was. Join us for an insightful dialogue between two leading thinkers, Imam Mohamed Magid and Dr. Nigel M. de S. Cameron, who aim to build understanding in spite of the differences between their respective traditions.
Discussants:
Imam Mohamed Magid serves as the Imam and Executive Director of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center in Sterling, VA. Born in Sudan, as the son of the Mufti of Sudan, Imam Magid mastered several disciplines in the Islamic faith from the teachings of his father and other Islamic scholars. He moved to the United States in 1987, and as the Imam of the ADAMS Center, he serves as a passionate advocate for reaching out to all neighbors and citizens through dialogue. Imam Magid's work has been featured in Time Magazine.
Dr. Nigel M. de S. Cameron, Dean of The Wilberforce Forum, is former Provost and Distinguished Professor of Theology and Culture at Trinity International University/ Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
