Information Sessions

An information session is an excellent way to increase student interest in your position or your organization. Information sessions tied to an on-campus recruiting session are traditionally held 2-3 weeks before your resume drop period begins.

Georgetown Marriott Conference Center

Large, catered information sessions should be coordinated with the Georgetown Marriott Conference Center.  Allison Bishop, Sales Manager, will be happy to coordinate your presentation and can be reached at 301-820-6120, or allison.bishop@marriott.com.  The Marriott is located on campus in the Leavey Center and is a convenient location for both students and employers.  If the Marriott is booked or does not meet your needs, additional area hotels are available here

Please notify Ubah Aden after you have scheduled your information session to have it added to the HCC events calendar.  It is the employers’ responsibility to notify Ubah of schedule changes to presentations held at the Marriott, or at any non-Career Education Center space.

Career Education Center Presentation Spaces

A limited number of small information sessions can be held in the seminar rooms at the Career Education Center (from September 2, 2008 - December 5, 2008 and January 8, 2009 - April 24, 2009).  There is a $200 charge for presentations in the seminar rooms. No food is allowed in these spaces. Beverages are allowed.  Limited AV equipment can be rented ($25 for TV/VCR combination, $25 for a laptop and $25 for a LCD projector, used with a computer).  All rooms and equipment are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be booked on Hoya Career Connection at least 10 business days before the event.  When you request an information session on Hoya Career Connection, it will automatically appear on the events calendar.
