- Artist Info: Fr. John B. Giuliani was born in a family of Italian emigrants. He attended the Pratt School of Art in New York City, before entering St. John Seminary in Brighton, MA. He was ordained a priest in 1960. In 1989 he began studying Russian Orthodox iconography, a technique which he adapted to Native American motifs. His education and spirituality lead to a combination of painting with acrylics while using the "icon writing" process and drawing from American Indian inspiration.
