Americas Initiative Programs
At Georgetown University, we teach and pursue scholarship in the capital of the United States, a nation of global reach and internal diversity. Our heritage is rooted in a Jesuit experience that spanned the Americas from the sixteenth century to the present. Through the Americas Initiative (AI), Georgetown seeks to intensify its commitment to research and analysis, discussion and debate dealing with the diverse peoples and nations of the Americas.
AI sponsors a wide range of programs, including faculty seminars, conferences, and public programs. In addition, AI co-sponsors events with other Georgetown departments and external organizations.
