What is your favorite thing about working at Georgetown?
The size.  It’s big enough do what I want to do, but it’s not too big to be overwhelming. I can have personal contact with students with fewer layers of bureaucratic machinery.

What makes Washington, DC a good city for research?
DC is good if we use it. There are lots of research labs, but I wish this collaboration was promoted more.

What is your favorite book?
I recently read, “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch, and I ordered ten copies for my students. In terms of scale, it’s quite ordinary, but there’s a lot of wisdom there.

Describe yourself in three words.
