About the Department of Biology

for undergraduate students -

The Department of Biology offers majors in Biology, Environmental Biology, Neurobiology and in the Biology of Global Health as a part of its undergraduate program. For majors, the Bachelor of Science degree is conferred by the Georgetown College.  The Department also offers a minor in Biology.

for post-baccalaureate pre-med students -

The Department of Biology participates in the Post-Bac program for students who want to improve their science background to prepare for medical school. The program provides rigorous training in math and laboratory sciences, access to pre-medical advising and, upon completion of the certificate requirements, the opportunity to be evaluated and recommended by the Pre-Med Committee.
