Who we are:
The Computer Science Department was established originally as a program in the Mathematics Department
and became a separate department in 1985. From the original three faculty we have since grown to seven
regular faculty and other visiting and part-time faculty.
We take great pride in our teaching and research efforts, and our students. Our
research programs include Data Mining, Non-standard Parallel Computing, Machine Learning,
Information Assurance, Software Engineering, and Algorithms.
We are a small department, which provides students with
plenty of personal contact and opportunities for involvement in faculty research projects or
independent study.
