Programs

The Department has gained national recognition with its undergraduate curriculum, "Developing Multiple Literacies," which combines a strong content orientation with the development of sophisticated language abilities.
On the graduate level, our program encompasses literary and cultural history (18th-21st centuries), with particular strengths in the areas of contemporary literature and culture, gender and sexuality, culture and aesthetics, and applied linguistics/second language acquisition.
