Department of Government

Congratulations to Diana Watral, Pi Sigma Alpha 2007 Thesis Competition Winner!

Diana Watral, a 2007 graduate of the College and the winner of the Department of Government Award, has also just won the national Pi Sigma Alpha best undergraduate thesis competition for her work "To Lie or Not to Lie, It Depends on the Question: Understanding Vote Over-reporting in Surveys." Her mentor was Mike Hanmer and her reader was Jon Ladd. This is the second time in four years that our best honors student has won this prestigious award (Mike Gramins won in 2004)!
