Former Finnish President Wins Nobel Peace Prize
Former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari was awarded the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in international mediation, particularly in Kosovo, Namibia and the Indonesian province of Aceh.
President Ahtisaari visited the Conflict Resolution program at Georgetown on November 5, 2007 to discuss the key lessons learned from his efforts to build peace in fragile societies around the globe.
