CR Visiting Professor Villa-Vicencio Discusses Latest Book
On Friday, November 20th, Visiting Conflict Resolution Professor Charles Villa-Vicencio will discuss his recent book, Walk with Us and Listen: Peace and Reconciliation in Africa at Georgetown's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs. Dr. Villa-Vicencio will address the need for more complementarity between the ICC and African mechanisms for justice and peace-building; question the obligation to prosecute those allegedly guilty of gross violation of human rights; and assess the success of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Dr. Fathali M. Moghaddam, CR Program Director, will join the discussion to offer a response to the book. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and light refreshments.
