Conflict Resolution Admissions

 


Applicants for the M.A. in Conflict Resolution hold bachelors degrees in a variety of fields, such as Government, Psychology, Business, Philosophy, Theology, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Communications, and Economics. They have a broad range of professional, volunteer, and overseas experience. The GRE is required for all applicants. The TOEFL is also required for non-native English speakers (except those who have earned a bachelors degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction).


The deadline for Fall 2013 admissions applications is January 15, 2013.


In order to be complete, applications must include

  • Your CV or resume;
  • An official copy of your undergraduate transcript;
  • An official copy of your graduate transcript (if applicable);
  • Statement of purpose;
  • Academic writing sample (approx. 10-20 pages);
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation;
  • GRE scores;
  • The application fee;  and
  • The appropriate Georgetown Graduate School of Arts and Sciences admissions forms.

Admissions are conducted once per year, for fall enrollment.  See Government Department Admissions for more details.  Under special circumstances one-year deferrals may be permitted.  Part-time studies are permitted, though prospective students should speak with the program regarding this option, as evening course offerings are limited.
