Opportunities

Most students take advantage of the many work-related opportunities in Washington, DC, to gain practical experience in the field, as well as academic credit. To help students identify internship and career opportunities the Conflict Resolution program operates a user group through which students may browse and post position announcements.

All Georgetown Conflict Resolution students are welcome to subscribe by sending a request to conflictresolution@georgetown.edu.

If you are an employer interested in posting your position announcement please send a brief description to conflictresolution@georgetown.edu. Announcements will be screened by the moderator.

Students may also apply for one of several semester-long Research Assistant positions to work with a member of the Conflict Resolution Faculty Advisory Committee.

Advising

Students are encouraged to make an appointment with the Conflict Resolution faculty and staff to discuss career and internship options.  Additionally, students have access to professional career services and career databases offered through Georgetown's MBNA Career Education Center and the School of Foreign Service Career Development Center.  Students in search of an internship may also want to refer to these guidelines.
