Doctoral Student Handbook

The Department of History Doctoral Student Handbook includes rules, policies, and other things PhD candidates need to know in order to successfully navigate the program. The Handbook is revised annually. Be sure to read the 2007-2008 Handbook, especially before sitting for comprehensive examinations or defending a dissertation.
