Language Instruction

The writing tasks and materials presented here reflect the following principles: a focus on the interactive nature of teaching and learning; emphasis on the “process” of writing rather than on the “product"; stress on content and cultural awareness; and the development of analytical skills. There are three examples of activities for each language level. They are designed to help students progress from writing based on description to activities based on analysis and from the encoding of personal meanings to the discussion of wider cultural topics.
