The Peace and Collaborative Development Network
The Peace and Collaborative Development Network (PCDN) is a free professional networking site with over 20,000 members from around the world to foster dialogue and sharing of resources in international development, conflict resolution, gender mainstreaming, human rights, social entrepreneurship and related fields. It was founded by Craig Zelizer, Ph.D., Associate Director of the MA in Conflict Resolution Program at Georgetown University.
National Peace Academy
The National Peace Academy (NPA) supports, advances and nurtures cultures of peace by conducting research and facilitating learning toward the development of peace systems – local to global – and the development of the full spectrum of the peacebuilder – inner and outer, personal and professional. In all its operations, internal and external, the National Peace Academy strives to embody and reflect the principles and processes of peace.
Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA)
The Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2001 as a result of a merger of the Consortium on Peace research, Education and Development (COPRED) and the Peace Studies Association (PSA). Both organizations provided leadership in the broadly defined field of peace, conflict and justice studies. It is dedicated to bringing together academics, K-12 teachers and grassroots activists to explore alternatives to violence and share visions and strategies for peacebuilding, social justice, and social change. PJSA also serves as a professional association for scholars in the field of peace and conflict resolution studies, and is the North American affiliate of the International Peace Research Association.
The Peace Alliance
The Peace Alliance is an alliance of organizers and advocates throughout the United States taking the work of peacebuilding from the margins of society into the centers of national discourse and policy priorities. The network includes volunteer grassroots teams in hundreds of cities, towns, colleges and high school campuses. Along with the Student Peace Alliance, it spearheads the national campaign for a Department of Peace.
The US Peace Index
The inaugural United States Peace Index, created by the international think tank, Institute for Economics and Peace, is the first-ever ranking of the fifty US states based on their levels of peace.
