Program Head: Elizabeth Zsiga, Ph.D.
Students in Theoretical Linguistics may concentrate in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, language acquisition, or historical linguistics. Building on structured sequences of introductory and advanced courses, we conduct seminars which provide the opportunity to explore particular topics in depth, both within the specific areas and at their interfaces. Interactions and collaborations among faculty and students create a lively and supportive research environment.
For concentration-specific requirements, please refer to the most current Graduate Student Handbook.
