TRIAL PERIOD FOR LAB PRINTERS

1. All computers in the lab are now hooked up to the two HP deskjet printers. The PC's print to the Deskjet 952C; the Macs print to the Deskjet 960 C.

2. This is on a strictly Bring Your Own Paper basis. We recommend you buy a ream of paper to keep at home and bring a few sheets with you to school.

3. The lab simply cannot afford to buy much ink for this lab, so if you would like to keep this privilege PLEASE BE CONSERVATIVE with your printing! We have a goal of two months for each cartridge.

4. There will be no tech service for these printers, so please be gentle with them and care for them as if they were your own personal printers. All paper jams should be dealt with gingerly and in a non-angry manner. In addition, no new printer will be purchased in the event that one of these is broken. Once it is broken, it is gone.

5. This is offered purely on a trial basis. The longer we can make the ink last and the more we take care of these printers, the more chance we have of permanently adopting this privilege.

6. All documents must be printed in black and white (because there is no color; if you print in color, it will come out blank). On a PC, Go to File, Print, and change the properties to "Black and White" or "Grayscale". On a Mac, go to File, Print, then the 3rd menu down (probably copies & pages) and select paper quality; color; "grayscale."
