Jennifer Bonsall Named an AAPSS Junior Fellow
The Sociology department would like to warmly congratulate Georgetown senior Jennifer Bonsall for being named one of this year's American Academy of Political and Social Science (AAPSS) Junior Fellows. It is quite an honor, and bears with it a certificate honoring that achievement, a year's membership in the AAPSS, and she may even (based on a submitted paper) further win a chance to deliver that paper at the 2007 conference of the AAPSS.
She joins approximately 130 other Junior Fellows from leading social science departments from across the United States. Each designee has been selected for the following criteria:
- an outstanding grasp of a discipline's theories and methods, as demonstrated through prior coursework in the student's major department,
- an enthusiasm for understanding social issues, and
- the promise of making substantial contributions to the social sciences in the future.
