Ph.D. Candidate Sarah Grey, Dr. Cristina Sanz, and Department alumna Dr. Kara Morgan-Short have had a series of first -of- its kind brain studies published on language immersion.
This paper by K. Morgan-Short, I. Finger, S. Grey, and M.T. Ullman (2012). Second Language Processing Shows Increased Native-Like Neural Responses after Months of No Exposure. PLoS ONE, 7(3). e32974 together with a proceeding training paper by Dr. Cristina Sanz as well as fellow Georgetown researcher, Dr. Michael Ullman, has been gaining traction.
