Professor Marla Zarate and Professor Doreen Metzner were honored at the 6th Annual Georgetown College Honors ceremony on Friday, March 30, 2012.

Each year students are asked to nominate faculty in the College whom they feel have helped shape their Georgetown experience. Professor Zarate and Professor Metzner received multiple nominations for this prestigious honor.

The Spanish and Portuguese Department joins the College Academic Council in congratulating Professor Zarate and Professor Metzner on this accomplishment!

Professor Doreen Metzner was also nominated for a Commitment to Diversity Award Outstanding Faculty by the Student of Color Alliance. This award honors faculty, staff, administrators, and students who have significantly contributed to and demonstrated a commitment to diversity at Georgetown University. Professor Metzner will be honored at the reception on April 20, 2012.
