Your GoCard, NetID & MyAccess
GoCard
Upon arrival at Georgetown, you will need to stop by the GoCard office and have your picture taken in order for you to get your GoCard.
Things that you will use your GoCard to do: Get into the gym/library, check things out from the library, show proof that you are a Georgetown student at the Student Health Center, etc. You can also put money on your GoCard and use it as a debit card around the university to purchase food and drinks. Your GoCard will also have your student ID number printed on it which should also be your policy number for your student insurance through United HealthCare.
The GoCard office is located between the Student Health Center and the Epicurean. For more information, check out their website: http://gocard.georgetown.edu/
Net ID
Your Net ID is your georgetown email address without @georgetown.edu. You will use it along with a password that you establish to access MyAccess.
MyAccess
MyAccess is basically your portal to everything relevant to you at Georgetown. Through MyAccess, you can view your grades and transcripts, register for courses and view outstanding bills from the university – such as the gym membership fee, due at the beginning of each semester. You will also be able to view your insurance plan and biographical information, should it need updating.
MyAccess is an important tool for students and you should begin to familiarize yourselves with it. The link can be found at www.georgetown.edu. Click on current students and look at the menu on the right side of the page.
