Please keep in mind the following dates as they are important regarding your registration and entrance into the program. Not all dates apply to everyone: certain dates are for international students only.

July 1 Immunization forms due to the Student Health Center Visit this website – http://www3.georgetown.edu/student-affairs/health/forms.html  – to learn how to submit certificates for immunization and tuberculosis screenings.  You have until August 15 – after this date, the university will block your registration until you get this requirement fulfilled.
July 23-27 Off-Campus Housing Search Weekend Stay on campus free of charge while you search for housing. Visit http://och.georgetown.edu/90448.html for more information and to get a registration form.
August 8-18   Housing Search (for international students) Not required, but helpful for international graduate students.  Come to Georgetown and stay on campus for $20 a night while you search for a place to live.  You will be provided with maps, bus and metro schedules, and housing lists.  Visit https://www4.georgetown.edu/uis/keybridge/keyform/form.cfm?FormID=2588 to register.

REQUIRED
MANDATORY FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WITH F-1 OR J-1 STATUS
You must bring the originals and copies of your 1) passport and visa, 2) I-94 card front and back (small white piece of paper stapled to your passport), and 3) Form I-20 or Form DS-2019. This MANDATORY session provides you with important information to maintain your status, study and work as an international student in the United States.
August 23-24 IGEPO: International  Graduate Orientation It is strongly recommended that all international students attend this orientation. You will cover immigration regulations, health care and employment and be able to get assistance with cell phones and bank accounts. New Student Orientation: Department of Spanish & Portuguese
REQUIRED
Details to be announced. Orientation for new linguistics and literature & culture students, covering departmental policies and requirements as well as meeting your Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) who will address more specific questions at the time. You will also dicuss class registration and schedule a time to meet with your DGS.
