Jonathon Wiggins

Jonathon Wiggins attended St. Meinrad College and graduated from Purdue University with degrees in psychology and social studies education. At Purdue, he served the university parish as liturgy committee chair, Mass coordinator, and member of the parish council. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology at Loyola University Chicago, where his dissertation was a sociological analysis of contemporary Marian devotion in the U.S. Catholic Church. Dr. Wiggins serves as a Chaplain-in-Residence in one of Georgetown University's residence halls for mostly upperclass students, Village C East. He especially enjoys his chaplain roles of welcoming the students, being accessible to them when needed, celebrating residents' birthdays, and working with the residence hall staff members. In addition to his role as a Chaplain-in-Residence, Dr. Wiggins works at Georgetown University's Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA), where he is the director of Pastoral Assistance Surveys and Services (PASS) projects.
