Ethan DeCoster, Director of ESCAPE First Year Experience

 

Ethan is very excited to be starting his second year at Georgetown as Director of the ESCAPE program.  He is also the Co-Director of the Magis Immersion and Justice Program.  Prior to ESCAPE, Ethan worked as a middle school Language Arts and Shakesperean drama teacher at the Washington Jesuit Academy in Northeast DC.  After graduating from Marquette University (Go Golden Eagles!), Ethan was a professional volunteer in Belize, Central America for two years with Jesuit Volunteers International. He enjoys cooking, reading, jogging and traveling.   This year Ethan visited Belize, Egypt, Sudan, Uganda and Ireland.  He is always looking for new adventures!

Rev. Patrick Rogers, SJ, Weekend Outreach Advisor

Trained as a classical musician and vocalist, Fr. Patrick is starting his third year in Campus Ministry.  At Georgetown, Patrick is the Director of Main Campus Ministry.  He is a graduate of Towson University, as well as, Fordham University and The Jesuit School of Theology at Berkley, CA. Directly before coming to Georgetown, Fr. Patrick taught music and voice at Xavier High School (Go Knights!) in Manhattan.  In his spare time, he enjoys music, travel, sports and spending time with his godsons and friends.

Sarah Jones, from Bethesda, MD,  is a graduate of Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC.  She is currently a junior in the College and an avid ESCAPE enthusiast! As a freshman she went on an ESCAPE weekend, and loved it so much that she worked as a Team XVI leader her sophomore year. Now she works as the Student Program Coordinator for ESCAPE. This past summer, Sarah went on the inaugural Global ESCAPE service trip to Belize with Ethan, Father Pat, and other members of the ESCAPE family.

ESCAPE Retreat Dates - 2007-2008

Please meet the ESCAPE Team at the Village C Steps at 3:00 pm for a 3:30 pm departure.  You will return to campus the following day by 6:30 pm.
