ESCAPE Program Information

All ESCAPE retreats take place at the Shepherd's Spring Outdoor Ministry Center in beautiful Sharpsburg, MD. 

Freshman ESCAPE participants stay in hotel-style rooms with private bathrooms and comfortable beds.  Transfer students stay in very comfortable cabins (think summer camp, but way more fun!) Each ESCAPE includes a generous amount of free-time to play kick-ball, go for a jog, catch up with your new friends, relax, take a nap, hike the trails and caves of the C & O Canal or take a walk to the Potomac River.  There is so much to do--the choice is yours!

 

At Georgetown, we truly hope that you will further your personal search to become "women and men for others."  ESCAPE retreats include the opportunity for personal and group reflection based off a 450 year-old model of living and reflecting found in Jesuit education.  On an overnight, you'll hear from upperclass team leaders who will talk about what their experiences were as first-year students.

ESCAPE Retreat Dates - 2007-2008

Please meet the ESCAPE Team at the Village C Steps at 3:00 pm for a 3:30 pm departure.  You will return to campus the following day by 6:30 pm.

Class of 2011:

  • January 25-26 (Fri-Sat)

  • January 26-27 (Sat-Sun)

  • February 15-16 (Fri-Sat)

  • February 16-17 (Sat-Sun)

  • February 22-23 (Fri-Sat)

  • February 23-24 (Sat-Sun)

Final Team XVII (Legends) overnight:

  • April 4 (in the Village) 

Team XVIII Training:

  • April 18-20
