Yujie Wang
Researcher

Dr. Yujie Wang is Associate Professor and Deputy-director of the Islamic Department at Institute of World Religions, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Now she is a Visiting Researcher at the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University (2009-2010). Her research field includes Islam in China and Shi'a Islam. She is the author of A Short History of Islam in Iran (Chinese), and co-author of Religions and Society in Contemporary China (Chinese).

Zehra Yilmaz
Researcher

Zehra Yilmaz is a PhD candidate in the International Relations Department of Ankara University, Turkey. She is also a research assistant in the same department. In her dissertation she is studying Muslim women’s movements in Middle East. She analyzes the reconstruction of the global system and its affects on Middle East from a gender perspective. Ms.Yilmaz received her BA degree from Baskent University, Political Science and International Relations Department in 2002. Her thesis subject was "Turkish Political Parties` View into Secularism". In 2005, she graduated from Polical Science MA in Ankara University with the theses of "Muslim Women Movement in Turkey after 28 February Coup". Her research interests are feminism, Islam, and the Middle East and postcolonial theory.
