2014 and Beyond: U.S. Policy Towards Afghanistan and Pakistan, Part I
- "2014 and Beyond: U.S. Policy Towards Afghanistan and Pakistan, Part I"
Professor Christine Fair testifies before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia, on the topic of projected future U.S. policy in the AfPak region. "In short, the United States must engage where it can, with clear thinking about the nature of the U.S.-Pakistan relationship and an honest assessment of whether the terrorists Pakistan is helping the United States to eliminate are more important than the terrorists they continue to nurture," concludes Dr. Fair. "The United States cannot afford to walk away even it can’t afford to stay engaged as it has been."
