About the CIRS Website

The CIRS Website is intended to convey the academic excellence and international research that the Center for International and Regional Studies puts out as a research center within the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar. This website is designed to communicate scholarly events and research initiatives to academics working in the related fields of International Affairs, as well as other interested parties.

The site homepage is divided into two dynamic content areas:

Events: Upcoming events that CIRS offers to the public are automatically displayed in the upper left corner of the homepage's content box.

CIRS Features: Important CIRS announcements, such as recent publications and scholarly events are presented on the lower right hand corner of the homepage's content box.

Website pages have right column navigation for your convenience:

Section Listing: This portion provides easy access to other sections of the site.

Events: You can scroll up and down to view recent and upcoming events.

CIRS Features: This content highlights some of the important developments at the Center.

Podcasts: You can subscribe to CIRS podcasts to download recent audio from CIRS events.
